Beilstein and Gmelin are available through DiscoveryGate, a web-based interface, or CrossFire Commander, client software that must be installed on your computer. Both are available from public computers in Walter, Biomedical, or Magrath Libraries.

Access DiscoveryGate

Note: PC users will need to download a piece of software to use DiscoveryGate and all users may need to make an exception for blocked pop-up windows.

OR

Download CrossFire Commander software to your computer

Note: Only current U of MN faculty, staff, and students are permitted to download CrossFire Commander to their own computers. If you are off campus, you will need to download and log in to VPN before you will be able to download the software.To access CrossFire Commander from a public computer in the Walter, BioMedical, or McGrath libraries, click on the Beilstein icon on the desktop.
