SWE, A History of Women Engineers
With a membership of more than 15,000 professionals and students from 22 countries, the Society of Women Engineers continues its mission of empowering and encouraging women engineers.
Petticoats and Slide Rules was a special traveling exhibit from the SWEs Archives at Wayne State University. The exhibit was on display from June through September 2003 in Walter Library and was co-sponsored by the Institute of Technology and the SWE Minnesota Section, with some funding provided by Lockheed-Martin. It included papers from 1918 through 1993 documenting the history of SWE and of women in engineering:
