The Science & Engineering Library offers hands-on workshops with library tools to give you the research advantage. For example, you can:
- Learn how to use the Web of Science database for access to literature, cited reference searching, and e-mail alerts,
- Take a class on "Getting Published", which will help you identify journals to submit to, learn about author's rights, and more,
- Master your skills with RefWorks, the UofM's free citation formatting and management software

32 teams of IT students compete for prizes, bragging rights. Their science and popular knowledge is tested in this annual double-elimination tournament.
The 5th annual University Libraries' Science Quiz Bowl kicked off IT Week on February 17 with a record 34 teams teams playing a double-elimination tournament in Walter Library. "Bob Saget" bested "The Red Wagon" in the final game on February 19 to become the Science Quiz Bowl Champions! Congratulations to both teams.
