Journal Cancellations in 1997/98

The Science & Engineering Library at Sciweb

Another round of journal cancellations is necessary in 1997/98. The cost of science journals is again expected to increase by about 10% this year, yet the Science & Engineering Library has received no increase to its acquisitions budget. In fact, the base budget has remained static since 1994/95, and this year there has been no allocation of one-time money for collections. As a result, the Science & Engineering Library must cancel 127 titles for a total savings of $116,263.
