Plug-In Network Access
High-speed network plug-ins are available on the study tables on the Second Floor, with two jacks in the middle of each table. Plug-ins are also available in the group study rooms on the Basement Level. To access the network, you first need to register and configure your laptop. See the instructions at the ADCS web site.
Wireless Network Access
Wireless access is available on the Second Floor and the Basement Level. Prior registration is not needed, but you will need to enter your University Internet ID (X.500 username) and password each time you access the network. Simply start up any compatible Web browser, access any Web page, and you will be prompted to log in. It is recommended that you install and use VPN while using the wireless network in order to keep your wireless transmissions private. More information on VPN and accessing the wireless network is available at the Office of Information Technology's web site, which includes a map of wireless coverage for the U of MN-Twin Cities campus.
Modem Access
There is one dial-up/modem jack in the library, located on the Second Floor in Room 206 at the table furthest from the windows on the north side of the room.
